MORNINGTIME 3767by Benjamin Munsell on June 7, 2021
Now WE HAVE RECEIVED, not the spirit of the world, but THE SPIRIT which is OF GOD; THAT WE MIGHT KNOW the things that are freely given to us of GOD. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but WHICH THE HOLY GHOST TEACHETH; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. For WHO hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. 1 Corinthians 2:12-13,16. There are many things discussed about the Bible that are not crucial unto Salvation or Biblical Doctrine. "I believe Jesus had brown hair". "No, you're wrong, He had black hair". "Then let's just AGREE TO DISAGREE, and move on to other things". This "agree to disagree" is just a cheap way out to tell someone, "I'm sticking with what I believe and you can't change my mind, I know I'm right, and that makes you, wrong". Does any of this sound like a stubborn rebellious attitude of someone maybe set in his ways??? What's happened to, "No, I don't agree with you, but let's both go home and see what the Bible has to say about this. The next time we meet we'll compare notes"? I've had many such GOoD discussions with my friend Jesse, and we would go home and search the Scriptures. The next time we got together I would admit I was Biblically wrong in my thinking and change my mind to his (His) Understanding. Sometimes he would agree with me. Most of the time the Bible showed us both an even better, more complete Understanding of our discussion as we both come into Agreement IN THE MIND OF CHRIST. My point? If something is worth discussing, isn't it worth searching the Scriptures until we come to Understand what the Mind of Christ has to say about it? Do we have a Heart to Hear Christ? Or just to prove our own theology? Fellowship is also a discussion WITHOUT FEAR OF FRIENDSHIP. I love when "Christ Wins". That's what Christian Fellowship is for, TO HASH OUT OUR DIFFERENCES AND SEEK OUT THE MIND OF CHRIST!!! Then we ALL win, and we will Eternally, Be Blessed.
